Social Security Disability
The Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) disability programs are the largest of many federal programs that provide financial assistance to people with disabilities. Disabilities are for either physical or mental health conditions which prevent the person from working. The two programs are different in many ways, but are administered by the Social Security Administration. Individuals who have a disability and meet medical criteria may qualify for benefits under either program.
We represent adults from the age of eighteen up until the age of 65, who seek Social Security Disability Insurance, Supplemental Security Income disability for adults and children, under their Social Security numbers. We represent adults who are disabled before age 22 who may be eligible for Disabled Adult Children Benefits, if a parent is deceased or starts receiving retirement or disability benefits. Social Security considers this a “child’s” benefit because it is paid on a parent’s Social Security earnings record. We represent widow’s or widower’s benefits claims claiming under their deceased spouse’s Social Security number.
